REIKI ENERGY MEDICINE

Reiki is a technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. It is administered through physical touch or interaction with an individual's energy field.
Reiki is based on the notion that life force energy (chi) flows through us and is what causes us to be alive. If one's life force energy is low, then we are more likely to get sick or feel stress, and if it is high, we are more capable of being happy and healthy.

    • Connection: A quick chat to see how you're landing in the moment, reasons why you booked the appointment and what you would like to focus on.

    • Treatment: Starting at the head and working towards the feet I will begin channeling your energy and working through the chakras, energy field and other areas I am drawn to work. You may feel a sensations like warmth, tingling or see/hear/feel different things. You also may not experience any of these things. This is all normal and is not an indication of whether it 'worked' or not.

    • Debrief: You will be offered a glass a water and have time to adjust after treatment. You will be offered the opportunity to discuss anything that came up for you and also anything that came up for me as messages for you.

    Please note that Reiki sessions are fully clothed and you choose your preference of a hands-on or hands-off style of treatment.

  • DISTANCE (at home)

    • Connection: A quick chat via zoom, phone or email (your preference) see how you're landing in the moment, reasons why you booked the appointment and what you would like to focus on.

    • Treatment: Finding a place of comfort in your own home (bed, sofa, bath, etc) I will begin channeling your energy and working through the chakras, energy field and other areas I am drawn to work. You may feel a sensations like warmth, tingling or see/hear/feel different things. You also may not experience any of these things. This is all normal and is not an indication of whether it 'worked' or not.

    • Debrief: After the session is complete, you will receive an email with notes from your treatment, messages which came through for you and an invitation for you to share and discuss anything that you experienced.

Alyssa's Approach

Being drawn to work with energetics and healing touch my whole life, I answered the inner call and began working with Reiki in 2022.

I started LightWater Collective in 2020 as a way to merge my love for energy and aromatherpay and am also certified in Meditation and Breathwork...I enjoy bringing these techniques and modalities into Reiki sessions to help support people in a deeper and richer way.

My goal is always to leave you feeling more aligned, peaceful and calm.

WHAT WILL I FEEL IN A REIKI SESSION?

Many people feel deeply relaxed and have a strong sense of peace. An almost immediate release of stress. They also report feeling refreshed, lighter, happier, motivated, more clarity and less physical pain.

HOW DOES DISTANCE REIKI WORK?

Distant Reiki is the ability to administer Reiki to someone who is not in the same room. Clients receive the same benefits of distant Reiki as they do with in-person Reiki. Some people prefer this as they can be comfortable in their own home.

WHY DO I FEEL TIRED AFTER REIKI?

It is not uncommon to feel tired after your session. When you slow down from your busy day and shift your nervous system into parasympathetic (rest + digest) you may be met with the reality of how tired you actually are. The best thing to do is give yourself time and space to rest.

HOW MANY SESSIONS DO I NEED?

Everyone requires a different number of Reiki sessions. It is recommended to start with a minimum of two (initial and follow-up) about 1-2 weeks apart. From there you may wish to book more if you are moving through big changes or challenges in your life or you may wish to book monthly as an energetic tune-up.
